Soccer has gained a follower in Camila Cabello who said she had ‘unlocked’ her ‘fan girl mode after meeting players.
British football has seen a rise in interest from Americans, with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney buying Wrexham FC.
It seems this love goes both ways as the Beckhams have invested in soccer club Inter Miami CF, co-owning with American brothers Jorge and Jose Mas.
There’s been much excitement at Inter Miami with Lionel Messi transferring to the team in the last month.
Kim Kardashian joined David and Victoria for Messi’s debut game but now Camila has declared herself a ‘fan girl’.
The Havana singer was spotted enjoying the game, wearing a black and pink shirt with number 10 for Messi on the back.
She posed with legendary England captain David as they watched the Fort Lauderdale game.
One picture showed the 26-year-old in an open blue shirt with white crop top underneath but this was quickly ditched in favour of the Messi top like a true fan.
Camila shared snaps on Instagram and wrote: ‘Fan girl mode was fully unlocked when I saw @leomessi – obviously the GOAT, but also so kind and generous with his energy. 😭
‘Thank you @davidgrutman for an experience I’ll never forget! And thank you @davidbeckham and @victoriabeckham 😭 IT WAS GIVING BABY PINK 🎀 MIAMI GOING UPPP.’
Other celebs rumoured to be watching the Argentine player’s starting game were Diddy and DJ Khaled, whose son even got to go on the pitch.
The Senorita singer is clearly enjoying her single life after breaking up with long-term partner Shawn Mendes.
The pair were spotted trying to give things another go at a Taylor Swift concert but have broken up again after six weeks.
Earlier this month the hitmaker was seen looking ethereal in a lilac dress for Paris Fashion Week.
Whether it’s football or fashion, Camila is living her best post-breakup life and we’re so here for it.
