A major change is predicted for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 and it will allegedly involve the vaulting of the iconic supply llamas.
The next season of Fortnite content is coming up soon – either late August or very early September – and as usual everything will probably leak out well before an official announcement, just as it did with the recent Futurama skins.
Fortnite leaks are almost always accurate because they’re based on datamined information from the game itself, but the latest revelation is set to be a controversial one – as apparently supply llamas are being vaulted.
The llama piñatas are one of the few constants in Fortnite, having been introduced as far back as Chapter 1 Season 3. They’ve only been vaulted (i.e. removed from the game but with the option of bringing them back later) once, during Chapter 2 Season 2, but it looks like that’s set to happen for a second time.
Whether the removal will be permanent, or just for one season, is unknown but it’s certain to cause controversy either way. Raptors will also be vaulted at the same time, although most fans are probably less attached to them.
When supply llamas were first introduced, they were exactly what their name suggests: a simple container for loot. They proved so popular though, that in Chapter 2 Season 7 Epic Games turned them into actual animals, that can roam the map and will run away from you if scared.
It’s unknown if the llamas are being replaced with something else, especially as the theme of the next season is not yet clear.
There’s talk of it featuring a desert biome and armoured cars, which brings to mind Mad Max, but that seems a bit random as the new film isn’t out until next May, so you’d think they’d want to wait for that.
The llama info comes from the usually reliable Ako but they don’t seem certain of the desert setting either. However, they do claim that the new chapter will introduce a vampire boss for Halloween and a new radio tower landmark, where the Highcard boss will spawn.
