Jamie Foxx 'doing better' but doctors 'still confused' over health scare

Doctors are still trying to get to the bottom of Jamie Foxx’s health issues after he was rushed to hospital, it has been claimed.

The Django Unchained actor, 55, was taken in for treatment following a ‘medical emergency’ this week, with his family traveling to be by his side.

Famous faces across Hollywood have since reached out to share their well wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery.

According to reports, he is said to be doing better and is able to joke around with his family, but experts are in the dark about what caused his issues.

An insider told TMZ that doctors will be doing tests over the next few days, to determine what happened.

It is currently unclear when Jamie – who was filming Back In Action at the time – will be released from hospital, and when he can return to work.

The Day Shift star’s family released a statement on Tuesday, sharing news of his illness with fans.

Taking to Instagram, his daughter Corinne posted: ‘We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.

‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.

‘We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.’

They have yet to share an update on his recuperation, but a source claimed that his personal health had been in a ‘serious’ position.

‘We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family – some of whom were not in town – came to the hospital,’ they added to TMZ.

Just days before Jamie’s ‘medical emergency’, he was hard at work filming his upcoming Netflix action-comedy Back in Action, in Georgia, alongside Cameron Diaz.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Jamie’s reps for a comment.
