Katy Perry looked every inch the Teenage Dream as she rocked up in court in a minty-fresh Versace suit today.
The 34-year-old is being sued by Christian rapper Flame (Marcus Gray) who claims she stole beats from his 2008 track Joyful Noise for her 2013 hit song Dark Horse.
And get this, K-Pez has apparently ‘tarnished’ Flame’s song, because of all the allusions to ‘witchcraft’ in Dark Horse’s music video.
Yes people, witchcraft. Hands up – who even noticed Katy was singing about all things hocus pocus?
Regardless of the world’s weirdest lawsuit, Katy made sure she served up some serious glam as she strutted into the Federal Courthouse in Los Angeles for the copyright infringement trial.
Perry, who recently admitted she and fiance Orlando Bloom are big fans of enemas, teamed a pantsuit Theresa May would be proud of with Perspex heels and a generous helping of sass.
Katy, Juicy J, and Luke have denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
Attorneys are expected to give their opening statements in the trial today. Perry was pictured in a courthouse sketch giving evidence as she took to the stand.
Perry, Juicy J and producer Dr. Luke were sued back in 2014 by Flame and Chike Ojukwu.
Flame claimed his song has been ‘irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in Dark Horse’.
Katy, Juicy J and Luke have denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
But fear not – the Roar singer hasn’t let all this court malarkey get in the way of her social content, and recently blessed fans with a bizarre (and fantastic) bathroom performance of Never Really Over.
Perry, who made her comeback with the catchy tune at the end of May, belted out the lyrics in the loo, complete with a full band casually hanging out in and around the bath tub.
‘POTTY JAMS: Never Really Over. My bands always down for the weirdest s***, pun intended,’ the star wrote.
Kind of makes us want to grab our mates, find the nearest toilet and do our own version, tbh.
We smell a new viral challenge coming on.
