Loose Women’s Kaye Adams has admitted she ‘takes responsibility’ for being cheated on in a past relationship.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 60, joined Judi Love and Jane Moore on Wednesday’s programme where they discussed the cheating rumours surrounding David Beckham.
The legendary footballer and Victoria Beckham look back on the 2004 allegations by Rebecca Loos, who claimed she had an affair with him.
The Beckhams have always denied the rumours, with David calling them ‘ludicrous’, while Victoria addresses how hard that time was in their relationship in the new Netflix documentary.
Speaking about the rumours on today’s Loose Women, Kaye revealed she had previously been cheated on.
She said: ‘In a previous relationship, a million years ago, someone was unfaithful to me.
‘But actually, on reflection, I take responsibility for that to a certain extent.’
Judi was clearly unhappy to hear that Kate felt she should take the blame, stepping in with: ‘No no no, I’m not allowing you to take responsibility for that.’
Kaye went on to explain: ‘I take a level of responsibility for the breakdown of the relationship because when I look back on it I can see where the cracks were appearing.
‘And I had my part in it, and you always have to be able to see the other person’s point of view.’
Kaye, who did not mention who her past relationship was with, has been in a relationship with tennis coach Ian Campbell for 26 years.
The couple are parents to two daughters, 20-year-old Charley, and Bonnie, who was born in 2007.
Although they have never married, Kaye has previously said that she would say yes if Ian proposed.
‘When we first met Ian was in his late 20s working as a tennis coach, spending half his life in Italy and half in Scotland, and he was not a man going to settle down,’ Kaye told the Mirror in 2016.
‘It was just a relationship that carried on and carried on, very happily, and maybe we just passed the point of getting married. But if Ian wants to pop the question and I get a decent ring and a good holiday out of it I wouldn’t say no.’
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1.
