Lady Gaga got stuck into the thick of the action as she puckered up to another cast member while filming for Joker sequel Folie A Deux in the Big Apple alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
Oscar-winning actress Gaga, 36, was seen in character as the iconic Harley Quinn on the set of the upcoming Joker sequel as she was pictured planting a kiss on a female bystander.
In a scene shot at New York’s City Hall, the actor stopped in front of a woman holding a newspaper featuring pictures of her character, Dr Harleen Frances Quinzell, better known as Harley Quinn, and the Joker, played by Phoenix.
The Chromatica singer, dressed in a large black fur coat, then put her hands on the woman’s face and kissed her.
In later scenes, she was seen without the coat in a red, white, and blue floral dress and black harlequin stockings.
Joker actor Phoenix, 48, was also seen being escorted away by Gotham Police as filming continued.
The actor, who starred in the 2019 film and earned the Oscar for best actor in the role, was spotted in a brown suit over a mustard yellow shirt.
He was seen getting into a police car while a large group of protestors gathered.
The scenes are being shot outside the same building where a New York grand jury is listening to evidence against former President Donald Trump, according to NBC News.
Characters can be seen holding signs with slogans such as ‘Free Joker’ while the eponymous villain was whisked away.
Days before, Gaga was spotted outside Manhattan’s City Hall donning the famous red jacket with a black and white patterned blouse, complete with a leather mini skirt and black mesh leggings.
Her look was completed by the iconic Harley Quinn makeup as the actor was surrounded by extras for the scene.
Earlier this month, Gaga herself shared a sneak preview of her performance in the Joker sequel.
Production for the eagerly-anticipated sequel began in December 2022.
It is slated for release next year, though details of the plot are still a closely-guarded secret.
Joker: Folie a Deux is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024.
