Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren Harries was moved to intensive care following brain surgery as she caught several infections, however is now doing better.
The reality star, who appeared in the famed show in 2013, underwent an ’emergency’ operation early in April, with her mum pleading for prayers on social media.
In the days following, it was revealed the emergency brain surgery had gone well but that Lauren had suffered her ‘worst nightmare’ by losing her hair.
Now her family have issued another update on Lauren’s health, revealing that while she ‘has a way to go’ she is feeling ‘strong.’
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, a message from Lauren’s official Twitter account read: ‘Lauren was moved to ICU as she caught Covid as well as 2 infections causing her breathing issues.’
Thankfully Lauren now appears to be doing better, as the statement went on to reveal that she is now ‘awake and talking again back in Neurology.’
‘I want to say thank you again to all the amazing staff at Heath Hospital.
‘She still has a way to go but she is strong.’
The message went on to ask for prayers for Lauren amid her recovery.

A previous update on Lauren’s journey following the surgery came in the form of a photograph of the star lying in a hospital bed.
While she is wrapped in a dressing own and surrounded by wires, she has a smile on her face.
Former child star Lauren, 45, who is transgender, first rose to prominence as an antiques expert.
She is best known for her 2013 appearance on Celebrity Big Brother where she proved popular with fans, eventually finishing in third place, behind Abz Love in second place and Charlotte Crosby winning the series.
She’s also appeared on Naked Attraction, becoming the first celebrity to strip off on the unusual dating show.
