Madonna reportedly cried onstage after falling off a chair during her Madame X show in Paris on Thursday night.
The Like A Virgin singer, who’s been battling knee and hip injuries for months, was said to have burst into tears after the tumble and had to be helped up by a backing dancer.
The 61-year-old carried on the two and a half hour show despite the pain, according to The Sun.
Another added: ‘She missed the chair when she went to sit and ended up in a crouched position.
‘She couldn’t stand back up coz of her knees and a dancer had to assist her.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted Madonna’s reps for comment.
Madonna, who’s been relying on knee supports and a cane to walk, had already cancelled a show in the French capital last week because of her injuries.
The queen of pop has just eight shows left out of her 79-date tour, which kicked off in New York last September and will end in Paris on March 11.
The Vogue singer, who’s dating 25-year-old singer Ahlamalik Williams, has been plagued by injuries throughout her Madame X tour.
She has cancelled 14 shows in total, including in the US, the UK and Portugal, due to her crippling injuries which left her in ‘overwhelming pain’.
Cancelling her Boston shows in November, Madonna told fans: ‘Doing my show every night brings me so much joy and to cancel is a kind of punishment for me, but the pain I’m in right now is overwhelming and I must rest and follow doctor’s orders so I can come back stronger and better and continue the Madame X journey with all of you.’
The Material Girl hitmaker recently told fans she was doing ‘six hours of rehab’ every day to combat her ‘multiple injuries’.
After pulling out of three shows in London in January, she said it was ‘too much on her body’, with her doctors insisting that she take a day off after each show.
‘It’s a miracle I have gotten this far but a-lot has to do with the fact that I do 6 hours of re-hab every day [sic],’ she said.
‘3 hours before show and 3 after with multiple therapies. I have also switched to flat shoes and modified difficult parts of the show.’
