Miranda Lambert halted proceedings during her recent Las Vegas residency performance on Saturday and slammed fans for snapping selfies while she belted out her hits.

The 39-year-old country music singer pressed pause on her set after she noticed a group of fans taking pictures of themselves rather than fully paying attention to what was happening on stage.

She quietened the room to offer them a piece of her mind and admitted she didn’t ‘like it’ when fans were more concerned about virtually capturing the night rather than taking part in the moment.

Footage filmed by a concertgoer caught the moment on tape and viewers could hear the star say: ‘I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry.

‘These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s p***ing me off a little bit.’

The star was about to start smashing out her 2016 single Tin Man when she spotted the photo shoot happening in the crowd.

Miranda continued: ‘Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music. Shall we start again?’

After the moment that appeared on TikTok, clips of the incident also showed fans deciding to leave the concert as the Gunpowder & Lead singer performed and they could be heard saying: ‘Come on, let’s go. You don’t do that to fans’.

Social media users had their say in the comments underneath the video with some agreeing and others on the fence about whether the star was right to call out the ticket-holders.

One penned: ‘Imagine being in that moment, and wanting to capture it. and she says that. Sad [sic].’

Another noted: ‘I get where she’s coming from she hast to perform for y’all and people just want to sit and take selfies yeah I’d be a little p***ed off to people [sic].’

‘Get over yourself! Wow what a drama Queen. Don’t forget who butters your bread there sweetheart [sic],’ was a social media user’s response to the singer’s call-out.
