Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has been seen in a wheelchair after scrapping his plans to retire from the stage.
The Black Sabbath icon has had a tough few years after battling a series of health issues, following a painful fall in 2019.
In new pictures, the 74-year-old was spotted being wheeled around in LA, after stepping away from the spotlight.
The snaps showed a man pushing the musician as he wore a face mask, while also clutching a cane.
Ozzy, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, has faced a grueling journey back to health following a fall at his home four years ago, which led to multiple spinal injuries.
He went under the knife for a life-changing operation last year but was faced with complications during his recovery.
In December, the Paranoid star opened up about struggling to walk, explaining that the situation had become ‘frustrating as f**k’ as his ‘creativity was okay’, but his body was still ‘weak’.
Just a few months ago, he announced that he would be taking a step back from touring in the future to concentrate on recuperating.
‘This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine,’ Ozzy wrote in February.
‘My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine.
‘However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.
‘In all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required.
‘Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way.
‘My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.’
In a later interview, the Prince of Darkness told Metal Hammer that he wasn’t ready to sit indoors all day, and was determined to perform again.
He said: ‘I don’t know how to do anything else. The thought of sitting in my house all day… I’m a road dog, you know?
‘I’ve been doing it f**king 55 years. It’s the best thing to have ever happened to me.
‘I mean, doing a live show is what I live for. I’ve had to cancel my European tour but I’m determined.
‘I’ve got to do more gigs [even] if I have to get someone to wheel me out there. I mean, you can’t retire from this game. It’s not a job, it’s a f**king passion.’
