The Traitors star Madelyn Smedley has shared an adorable clip announcing her pregnancy.
The favourite appeared on Claudia Winkleman’s hit reality competition last year, and won of the hearts of the nation in the process.
While the actress keeps her private life out of the spotlight, she made an exciting announcement on social media, writing: ‘Telling my mum and sisters ♥️ we can’t wait to meet you! Love you so much already.’
On Twitter, alongside a sweet picture with her partner as they grinned alongside ultrasound pictures, she wrote: ‘Got some news, wanna scream it from the roof tops!
‘Beyond excited to meet you PS we’re waving back x.’
The video clip saw Maddy sharing the news with her family, with her sisters and mum bursting into tears and overjoyed at the news.
With pictures of their scans to her mum squealing in delight at the news included in the clip, Maddy’s heart-warming post was showered in congratulatory messages from fans and friends alike.
‘Congratulations Maddie,’ Traitors winner Aaron Evans wrote.
Claudia penned: ‘CONGRATULATIONS’ while co-star Theo Mayne added: ‘OMG CONGRATS YOU TWO’.
As well as gaining fame and fans from accusing everyone around The Traitors roundtable of not being a Faithful (often with no more reason than just her instinct) and being one step away from the final, Maddy has previously appeared in one episode of EastEnders and Casualty.
During The Traitors, the reality TV contestant had told her fellow housemates, who were all living in a lavish Scottish Highlands castle, that she worked full-time in a care home, and declined to disclose her other job.
Maddy explained: ‘I didn’t want you to think I was dodgy if I came in here and said I was an actor. I’ve played it as myself.’
She portrayed the role of a homeless character called Rita and once social media fans discovered her amazing credit, she turned into quite the icon.
Over on Casualty, the reality star, in her now infamous words, played a ‘woman without a womb’.
The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
