Glastonbury revellers have been getting creative with their flags once again, and this one is truly a sight to behold.
Flying high at Worthy Farm was a flag displaying none other than, erm, King Charles’s fingers?
Waving proudly next to a flag for Carly Rae Jepsen (only at Glasto), the flag in question displayed a close-up of the monarch’s swollen hands, which are frequently a hot topic on social media.
For a bit of background, the King’s so-called ‘sausage fingers’ are said to be caused by water retention, with the condition officially known as dactylitis.
The monarch has actually joked about his fingers in the past, however, proving he’s not one to miss out on all the fun.
He poked fun at himself in a letter to a friend which described his new baby boy Prince William at the time of his birth, writing: ‘I can’t tell you how excited and proud I am. He really does look surprisingly appetising and has sausage fingers just like mine.’
The sausage fingers aren’t the only wild flag out there at Glasto this year.
While Carly Rae took to the stage, a flag reading ‘electric boobs’ was seen flapping about – casual.
Foo Fighters fans have also been showing their love for the band with various flags for the rockers, who are due to perform a surprise set tonight.
Following weeks of speculation and rumours, Dave Grohl and co. will hit the Pyramid Stage at around 6:10pm.
The frontman was spotted backstage earlier today, after they previously appeared on the line-up as mystery band The Churnups, so their appearance wouldn’t be given away.
Elsewhere, there are rumours flying that one very famous US pop queen might be showing up as a special guest with headliner Sir Elton John this weekend.
The Your Song hitmaker performs on Sunday for his very first Glasto, with the internet believing Britney Spears could be joining him for a Hold Me Closer duet.
Released last summer, the tune marked Brit’s first release since the end of her 13-year conservatorship.
Despite initially crushing our dreams by going on holiday and appearing nowhere near Somerset, the Toxic singer shared a rather cryptic post earlier today.
The pop megastar shared an image of three Union Jack flags along with a photo of a red apple that appeared to be cut into the shape of England’s flag of St. George.
Maybe she’s swapping bikinis and the beach for wellies and mud after all?
Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey, Guns N’ Roses, Lizzo, and more are also on the bill.
As are Arctic Monkeys, who headline tonight after a rocky week.
Frontman Alex Turner has been resting for days after being forced to cancel a Dublin gig due to acute laryngitis.
Thankfully, following doctor’s orders has served him well as organisers have put fans’ minds at ease after fears they’d be pulling out.
Emily Eavis, who runs the festival with her dad, announced that the rocker will make it to the Pyramid Stage while chatting to Zoe Ball.
‘They’re on,’ she told Zoe on BBC Radio 2.
‘It was a little bit close there for a minute and we were thinking about whether we should have a serious backup plan in place, but, no, thankfully they’re on, so that’s great.’
Looks like we’ll never know what those ‘backup plans’ were – thankfully!
