Finding the perfect outfit for a loved one's wedding can be tricky and it can take weeks or months to find the dress you've been picturing in your head.
So it's great when all those hours searching the shops pay off and you finally spot it hanging on the rails.
But what happens if you weren't the only person to spot that perfect dress?
Three women found themselves in this situation when they arrived at a wedding wearing exactly the same blue lace frock.
The women, who were all grandmothers of either the bride or groom, all looked very glamorous in the pretty dress.
One of them added a long necklace, but apart from that their outfits are pretty much identical.
A photo of them together on the day was shared on Twitter with the hashtag #weddingfail, but people quickly jumped in to say it was far from a fail.
One wrote: "That's the cutest! Not a fail in my book!"
Another commented: "I'd say this was a win!"
A third replied: "It's adorable. It looks like you invited the Andrews Sisters."
It's not the first time a group of guests have had an awkward moment and rocked up at wedding in matching outfits.
Sydney resident Debbie Speranza shared a hilarious photo on Facebook after spotting SIX women wearing the same dress at a wedding .
Writing on the fashion company's Facebook page she joked: "You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can inquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event.
"No we are NOT the bridesmaids just the guests."
On her personal page she added: "Who wore it best???? #backupbridesmaids"
