Vin Diesel is reportedly in ‘total shock’ after seeing his Fast and Furious 9 stunt double fall on his head.
The 52-year-old actor was apparently seen looking ‘ashen and blinking back tears’ just seconds after the stuntman suffered a serious fall at the Hertfordshire film set.
A source told The Sun: ‘The stuntman fell at least 30 feet – maybe a bit more.
‘Vin Diesel was seen on set seconds after. He looked ashen, totally in shock and blinking back tears. He saw what happened.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted the actor’s rep for comment.
The stuntman is said to have a serious head injury after a cable snapped as he was leaping off a balcony, according to the site.
Filmed was stopped and the cast and crew were allegedly sent home ‘fearing the worst’ as the stuntman was airlifted to Royal London Hospital.
A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman told Metro.co.uk: ‘Police were called shortly before noon today following an incident at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.
‘It was reported that a man had been injured while working at the location and sustained serious injuries. ‘The air ambulance attended and police officers are currently on scene to assist and carry out initial enquiries.’
Vin Diesell will star alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and John Cena in the film.
Earlier this month, firefighters tackled a huge fire which broke out at the Warner studios, with 15 fire engines being called but no injuries reported.
