A CASH-SAVVY foodie has shared how to get your money's worth when eating at the popular chain Toby Carvery.
Toby Carvery may be going viral for their new £7.99 sandwich filled with British classics – but the family-loved restaurant chain remains a popular destination for those after a hearty roast dinner.
However, with the cost-of-living crisis soaring, it's also important to make sure you get a plate full of scrumptious food without overpaying – and now one money-saving whizz has shared how.
Taking to TikTok, the cash-savvy food lover, Elliot William, revealed how you should be plate-loading the roast to get your money's worth.
The first tip, he said in the video, was simply being nice to the chef – a little polite smile here and there, and ''you might get yourself an extra piece of meat''.
Once he had chosen the meats – Elliot went for beef gammon, as well as a bit of turkey – the food fanatic grabbed a Yorkshire pudding and placed it on the side.

The reason behind taking the delicious Yorkie now and not adding on top afterwards was that ''you can stuff it with food later'', Elliot explained.
''Then you want to build a line of defence around your plate with some roast potatoes – that way you can pile the food without it falling off your plate.''
As he was making his way through the buffet, the money-saving pro added generous scoop of stuffing and some mash, as well as cauliflower cheese – ''and a bit of cheeky cheese sauce from the bottom'', he chuckled.
After he was done dishing up the roast dinner – which Elliott topped off with a hearty dose of gravy – the TikTok whizz also revealed how to slash the bill even more.
