IT provides comfort and support for your boobs, but wearing a bra isn’t everyone's cup of tea.
Some women find them too tight with them not giving your chest area space to breathe.
And now, many people are taking to social media to join the ‘no bra’ trend with many ditching their bras for good.
Alaina, who goes by the name of wellnesswithalaina on TikTok, shared a video captioned: “Let your tatas breathe.”
And she is urging people to ‘ditch the bra’ as ‘breast health awareness’.
Alaina, who has 39.6k followers, claims that bras block your lymph flow and give premature sagging.

In the video, which has gone viral with over 10.7k people ‘liking’ it, she says: “This video is for all my women who wear bras.
“Number one, throw them away because when you constantly have compression on your boobs, you are blocking all that lymph flow that needs to drain and circulate.
Why are you feeling the need to wear a bra?
“It can’t circulate if it doesn’t have the space to do so.
“So number one, take it off and throw it in the garbage.”

Alaina then goes on to advise women who “must” wear a bra.
She says: “It also leads to premature sagging, it is not good for you and your health, so why.
“Why are you feeling the need to wear a bra?
“If you’re still like, ‘I need a bra’. OK when you get home, take it off and flick your boobs, let that lymph start circulating and bed over and shake them.
“Get the stuff flowing again, ok? I just want you to be healthy.”
According to lingerie brand Pour Moi it is important for women to wear bras.
They claim that if you’re the average UK bra size of 36DD, each one of your breasts could weigh around 550g, and if your breasts aren’t properly supported, your back and neck muscles are quick to compensate, causing poor posture and pain.
They also claim that not wearing a bra can stretch the skin beyond repair, and it can cause sagging.
Pour Moi also claims that not wearing bras can cause headaches, as your neck muscles may become overworked and you are far more likely to get cervicogenic or ‘neck in origin’ headaches.
However, according to Dr Lucky Sekhon, MD, in New York City, not wearing a bra has been proven to increase muscle tone and breast shape.
Dr Sekhon says: “There is evidence that wearing a bra can make the muscles and ligaments that support the breasts lazy over time, leading to breast sagging and laxity.”

And like Alaina said, not wearing a bra can help increase circulation.
Dr Sekhon says: “Improvements in circulation may be more drastic in women with large breasts versus those with small breasts when they stop wearing a bra, as bras supporting larger breasts tend to fit tighter than those worn by women with smaller breasts measuring A to B cup in size.”
