A MUM-OF-FOUR shed almost half of her body weight by making small lifestyle choices and people have dubbed the transformation “iconic”.
Tasha Pehrson went from 16st 9lb, gained from years of fast food and postpartum weight, to 9st 7lb after her fourth child.
And she said the “hard” secret to her success was scoffing veggies over junk.
According to the body confidence advocate, you have to ignore thoughts that weight loss is difficult.
Among her small tips was choosing healthier food options, exercising consistently – be it through walking, weight lifting or something totally different that you enjoy – and taking progress pictures along the way to keep you motivated.
“It was really hard working out at 233.4lb, it was hard choosing veggies over fast food,” she said. “But it was only hard in the beginning.

“As I started losing weight I felt so good and wanted to keep going. And now I even crave veggies and hate missing a workout because it’s therapy for me.”
Tasha started her weight loss journey after her third pregnancy and kept going through her last one after years of yo-yo dieting and “feeling like weight loss was impossible”.
She has been married to her partner Dave for ten years and they share children Gretchen, nine, Ralph, seven, Claire, three, and baby Alan.
The online fitness coach now “empowers mums to love their postpartum body while losing the baby weight”.

“There are so many ways people can successfully lose weight, but your mindset is going to determine whether you actually do it,” she said in an Instagram post.
“I knew this day would come. It wasn’t a matter of if, but when. I knew I’d have setbacks but failure or quitting wasn’t even an option.
“There were definitely bumpy roads but there was no ‘falling off the wagon’ and accepting defeat.”
Tasha even revealed that motivation isn’t enough to keep you going and she has “could count on one hand the days she felt motivated in the past 1.5 years”.
“I became really disciplined and found the most joy in overcoming the hardship and proving to myself what I was capable of,” she explained.
“If you want something different, you need to do something different…and maybe that different is to stop giving up.”
Tasha, who lives in Arizona, US with her family, has a whopping 599k followers on Instagram that she gained from sharing her weight loss journey.
