A WOMAN has unveiled the top three things people need to prepare for before moving into a council house.
Taking to her social media page, she explained that she wished she’d known that these were factors before moving into the property.
But now, as she’s going through the renovations, she can share her top tips for anyone looking to move into one.
“Three things you should prepare for when getting a council house,” she said, starting the clip off.
The woman, known as MK on TikTok, went on to share a short clip of a bare room with black tiles, white walls and buckets of paint on the floor.
“You get your house completely empty, you have to make it liveable,” she said over this.

She said: “Flooring is expensive! Save as much as you can if you can, while you’re waiting”.
And the final thing she recommended everyone take onboard when moving into a council house was to learn how to DIY.
“Learn how to do small jobs yourself, that’ll save time & money,” she added.
