I was horrified after finding an 'inappropriate' image on baby pyjamas I bought from Asda – it's disgusting | The Sun

A HORRIFIED man was left disgusted after he discovered an 'inappropriate' design on baby pyjamas he bought from Asda.

Christopher Stone bought the Snoopy PJs for his niece but after she had worn them a few times the family noticed something odd.

The Grimsby family found the placement of one particular Snoopy graphic inappropriate.

Christopher told Grimsby Live: "We bought the newborn baby outfit for my niece and didn't realise the implication of the image at first.

"We first realised once my sister in law sent us a picture of our niece wearing it.

"She accompanied the image with a comment, stating that it was an inappropriate place and picture."

Although the shocked brother and sister-in-law laughed about the picture at first, it began to make them wonder if these pyjamas should be sold to children.

"At first, we laughed about it all, but at the same time it made us think," Christopher continued.

"This is a piece of child’s clothing with not only a suggestive picture, but the possibility of it being placed inappropriately as well," he added.

"In my eyes, it couldn’t have been any more inappropriate."

Other members of the family were also outraged, according to Christopher, which led to his sister-in-law making a complaint to Asda.

They received a response that read: "Apologies for the issue with your product and thank you so much for your continued patience, whilst we have investigated this.

"Thank you so much for being so humble and sharing this feedback with us. Rest assured, you are our very valuable customer and we never wanted you to face such hassle at all in the first place.

"The product we sell goes through a number of quality checks, these include visual inspections, colour transfer and many more. I can appreciate, despite this, we got it wrong on this occasion.

"I have noted your experience as a feedback in our system. We would try to improve ourselves based on your feedback and also implement any changes needed to ensure this level of service isn't repeated in the future."

An Asda spokesperson added: "The sizing of this set ranges from birth to 3 years old, and the pattern placement will vary from garment to garment because of the production process.

"The classic Snoopy design is used on many products and we have received no other complaints, however we have apologised if any offence was caused to this customer.”

This comes after other parents noticed called out 'gross and creepy' designs from fashion brand Fashion Nova.

The kids' clothing line featured child models photographed posing in very grown up ways.

Some mums slammed the company and said: "Wtf is Fashion Nova thinking with their kids line? Creepy and gross af… as a mom I’m disgusted."

Another added: "This Fashion Nova Kids is really not it. It’s some stuff up there that’s cute but it’s a lot of stuff up there that’s just not appropriate for a little girl to wear."
