A STYLISH mom has been left disappointed after her budget buy from Amazon failed to meet her expectations.
She had been eager to try the body-sculpting dress after seeing fashionistas rave about it online.
Lacey Johnson (@ldmadison) has garnered almost 28,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares life as a glamorous mom of three.
She took to the social media platform after ordering a floor-length pink dress from Amazon.
She didn’t share a link to the exact frock but an almost identical style is currently listed on the website for $29.
“I just got this dress in from Amazon and I bought it because I saw another creator talking about it, saying how amazing it was,” Lacey said.
“So I was expecting the same thing when I got it.
“Y’all this dress is absolutely see-through and I had to take my underwear off because all you could see was the underwear.
“The quality is that very thin T-shirt material.
“I mean I don’t even know what type of bra you would have to wear with this.”

Lacey adjusted the dress to show that if she wore it how it was meant to fit her bra would be visible because of the low cut.
She explained that she was wearing a bra specifically designed for square necklines as she pulled up the excess material to cover her chest.
The trendy mom posed from different angles as she continued to complain about her “skims dupe dress fail.”
“I was so excited about it,” Lacey said. “I mean, it’s cute but it’s absolutely see-through.
“Just very cheap material and she was hyping it up.
“I’m not going to lie to you all and say it’s great because it’s not.”
Over 4,000 people watched the video and it received hundreds of likes from people who were grateful for her honest review.
“If it doesn’t look good on you, it won’t look good on anyone!” one person commented.
“Use it for a swimsuit cover up girl lol,” another joked.
“Girl you have to get the Skims one!! I have both the gray and black. I’m obsessed!” a third said.
“I’m definitely going to!! I’m glad to hear you love the Skims one,” Lacey replied.
Skims long sleeve slip dress is eye-wateringly expensive in comparison to the Amazon dupe at $128.
However, it boasts of offering compression and support while enhancing “your curves in all the right places.”
It is currently only in stock in the color black with sizes ranging from XXS to 4X.
