I’m a body language expert – 4 statements Jesy Nelson is making with her style & pose show her Little Mix days are over | The Sun

SINCE Jesy Nelson, 31, unleashed her solo career she has been utterly bossing it.

Jesy's style has flourished as she's been able to put more of her personality into her outfits since leaving Little Mix.

And it seems that the stunning brunette is sending out some fiery statements with her signature style and power poses in recent Instagram snaps.

Showing her Little Mix days are well and truly over.

Unfortunately, it was revealed earlier this month that Jesy's solo album release has been delayed – but that hasn't put a dampener on her mood.

Body language expert, Judi James, speaks to Fabulous to break down the four statements Jesy is putting out into the world – showing she's more than ready to stand on her own.

I'm the boss

The body language expert reveals that Jesy's signature power pose and style demonstrate she's taking the reins, just in time for the launch of her first solo album.

Judi said: "When she was part of the Little Mix line-up, Jesy’s body language often looked off-brand and even sometimes rather awkward.

"So this signature look that she has been building as her own very personal, stand-alone branding, where she finally does her own thing rather than colluding with the others, must be very important to her in terms of statement-making."

"Which is probably why, like Victoria Beckham, she sticks to it like wallpaper paste."

I'm sexy, tough and confident

While Jesy is currently relaxing in California, US, with her friends – her current Instagram pictures show she's ready to enter her next career move.

The expert claims: "The pose itself seems to define a look that is both sexual but also tough, confident and challenging.

"The bra is a staple but there are no signs of cheese to go with it and her eye-stare seems to let us know this is her choice as an expression of personal freedom.

"She clearly wants something edgy to shock and the bra-as-outerwear fits that bill although she then tends to over-cover from the waist down with unisex baggy pants that have a very non-sexual message."

I'm out to shock

But it's not just Jesy's signature style that proves her newfound confidence.

As Judi explains her power pose demonstrates she is feeling confident and ready to grab the attention.

She adds: "Her projected statement about herself seems to be that she is strong, resilient and in charge of herself and her destiny.

"Even the arm position seems to emphasize this message, with one arm often up to touch the face or hair in a preening or even flirt signal.

"The other is down in a pose more associated with confidence and strength."

I'm strong

Jesy, who quit the group in December 2020, was seen looking teary-eyed as the remaining three Little Mix members performed their last show back in May of this year.

But just a few months later, Jesy has bounced back – feeling stronger than ever suggests Judi.

The body language expert explained: "The splayed legs are an even more emphatic signal of strength.
