MAKING SPAGHETTI bolognese is something us Brits have nailed, right?
It’s a classic dish that many of us will make at home on a regular basis.
But it turns out that we’ve been making it wrong…
And a chef is now here to tell us the correct way to make the perfect spaghetti bolognese.
So if you want to impress your family and friends, listen up.
Saskia Sidey, a Food Stylist & Recipe Developer has shared her spaghetti bolognese recipe on TikTok and in just two days it has racked up a whopping 291.9k views.
Saskia uploaded the video with the caption ‘A few secret ingredients for an incredible (but not authentic) bolognese.’
She said: “Here’s my tips for my best ever bolognese, it’s not traditional, sorry.

“Start with oil, onion, carrot and celery and cook it for ages and I mean ages.
“Add bacon lardons, garlic and thyme.
“Leave it for a while then add wine.
“Then leave it again, for ages.
“I’m using a mixture of beef and pork mince, get that browned in a separate pan before adding it in with the best quality tinned tomatoes you can afford and passata.
“I’m adding beef stock, again good quality.

“Once I've put in the meat I add in star anise, if you know you know.
“Add pepper, a little bit of sugar and a parmesan rind.
“Then honestly guys, it’s marmite. It makes it taste so slow cooked, even before you cook it.
“In the oven for 120 degrees for 5 hours.
“You have to try it! Salty, deep goodness.”
It’s safe to say, you will need a lot of time on your hands if you are going to attempt to make Saskia’s spaghetti bolognese.
However, it looks delicious, so would you give it a go?
Saskia’s video has clearly impressed many as it has racked up 18.8k likes, 329 comments and 523 shares.
Many TikTok users were impressed with her recipe and took to the comments to express this.
