THERE are loads of different styles of jeans to choose from.

Although the type of jean you go for matters, what's more important is how to wear them.

This wardrobe stylist, from Nashville, shared some of the massive mistakes people make when wearing their denim looks.

Jean trends are on a constant cycle, one moment skinny jeans are the in-thing and before you even have change to squeeze into them, flares are back.

The truth is, it doesn't matter what style of jeans you go for, as long as you avoid the fashion pros list of mistakes.

Style pro Blair revealed that one of the main errors she sees all the time involves your favourite pair of boots.

If you want to rock the classic boots and jeans combo, avoid tucking in your straight leg or boyfriend cut jeans.

It ends up looks clumsy and cheap and a bit outdated.

Blair says showing too much leg when wearing jeans is also a big no – it might end up making you look shower than you are, which no one wants.

If raw hems are your thing, avoid cuffing them.

Not only does it defeat the point of the cool-girl style, but people can always tell when the cuff of your jeans isn't meant to be cuffed.

It will end up falling down throughout the day and will also take your look back to the early 2000s.

Flares can be great for elongating your legs and are perfect for that boho look.

But Blair says that getting the right length is the key to pulling off the denim style.

Not only will they look bad if they're too long, but they'll drag along the floor and get tear.

Other agreed with the fashion lovers jean advice: "Yes! most of these mistakes are due to the wrong inseam."

However not everyone was convinced by the tricks: "I don't believe in rules when it comes to fashion, I wear whatever I want."
