I’m a gardening expert – how to kill weeds with minimal effort using a cheap Amazon buy

APPARENTLY, there's a cheap solution to your weed problem, and it doesn't involve any chemicals.

The simple method doesn't take too much effort either, and it's quicktoo.

Speaking to Gardening Etc, gardening expert Paul Tukey suggested covering patches of weeds that won't go away with heavyweight black pond liner.

This will help block the air and light.

"Total dieback can take anywhere from one week in the heat of summer to two months in the cold of winter," Tukey said.

After this, you're going to want to add compost and sow grass or lay turf to prevent new weeds from sprouting.

You can get yourself some pond liner for just $14 on Amazon.

If you're looking for an even cheaper solution, another gardening expert from Popular Mechanics shared how to get rid of unwanted weeds in your garden using just a lemon.

They shared how to use the fruit as a natural herbicide.

"Cover weeds in the juice and they'll shrivel away within a few days," she explained.

Take caution with this process though, as lemon juice can kill any kind of plant, not just weeds.

The expert advised: "Make sure you're not accidentally spraying your flowers or lawn."

SF Gate explained that lemon juice has a high level of citric acid, which can have a high burning effect on weeds.

And for an even stronger weed killer, they suggested mixing the lemon juice with vinegar.
