AN avid gymgoer has revealed the top tips that helped her on her fitness journey.
She shared that she owed her 90-pound weight loss to her dedicated regimen.
Emma Logsdon (@emlogsdon.fit) showed herself looking toned and fit in a video posted to TikTok.
"I've lost 90 pounds in the past year and a half," read the text.
First, she emphasized the importance of carbohydrates.
"While some people may benefit from a low carb lifestyle, in my opinion it is not sustainable.
"If you are actively going to the gym, you're hitting your weights, you're doing your cardio — you need carbs," she said.
She also advised focusing on hitting the macros.
"Yes, to lose weight you have to be in a caloric deficit, but what your body chooses to do with the foods that you are eating comes from your macros," she said.
Emma advised people to prioritize the importance of consuming whole foods.

She said: "Fifty grams of carbs from a whole food rather than 50 grams of carbs from a highly processed refined food has totally different impacts on your body."
She urged those on a fitness journey to track and weigh their food instead of using measuring cups.
"By measuring by cup you're not getting a fully accurate description of what you're getting," she said.
Next, she said there is no magic supplement to promote weight loss.
Finally, she stressed the importance of setting short term goals over long-term goals.
To back up her statements, she linked to a before-and-after photoset in a separate video, which showed a dramatic difference in weight and muscle tone.
