DECORATING any room in your home can cost a small fortune – but not if you've got a few money-saving tricks up your sleeve…
Mum-of-six Laura Mair, from Midlothian, says she redecorated her six year old daughters' bedroom because she was getting a lot of stick from people saying she needed to grow up.
"I wanted her room to be a little more sophisticated," Laura explains, speaking to money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk.
"When I found some wallpaper that I thought would be perfect, the idea for the overall theme grew from there.
"I have created a warm, pastel-pink room with lots of pretty decorative touches.
"The wallpaper was £22 from Amazon, and I got two rolls. I love the 3D panelling effect – it looks really realistic."

While browsing the sight, Laura says she saw a chair for £135, and she also got a cast iron fireplace from Marketplace at a fraction of the original price, which she then painted with the Frenchic paint.
To finish the look and give it a real fire effect, the mum-of-six bought a fire poster from Amazon.
‘I wanted to make the room look bigger so I bought stick on mirrors from The Range, they were very cheap," she continues.
"It gives the space a welcoming and homely feel combined with the fireplace.
"I had leftover carpet from a previous project so I used this in the room."
Laura got the TV cabinet from Marketplace for £40 and used the light fitting from the living room for her room, so saved herself some money there too.
Meanwhile, all of the accessories came from The Range and Amazon.
"The plants and plant stand were about £45 in total from Matalan, and I got a vase with dried flowers from The Range," she explains.
"I painted it in Dusky Blush to match the drawers.
"The wooden shelves came from Amazon, and they were £16.99. I added some accessories to jazz it up a bit."
The DIY whizz says the steps to complete the project were simple.
"I painted the walls first, then applied the wallpaper," she explains.
