A SAVVY shopper is on a mission to find the most reasonably priced supermarket – and it seems M&S might be a serious contender.
While it seems like the price of our weekly shop is jumping up every week, we’re all trying to find ways to cut back or spend more sensibly.
Luckily Georgia Webb’s testing out where she gets the most for her money – and was pleasantly surprised after her weekly top-up shop only cost her £60 at Marks & Spencer.
She said: “We are finally back with a new supermarket in my brand new series, Supermarket Battles, where we are on the hunt for the most affordable supermarket.
“Now, like I have been saying all along, I know everything in this day and age is so expensive, and trying to find an affordable supermarket is going to be difficult.
“However, anything that I can do to make your guys' lives easier, any tips that I can share, I am gonna do that.

“So I am going to continue going around different supermarkets and doing two or three shops to try and find out which one I feel is the most reasonable for everything that we buy.
“So as always, any shop I share within this series will be just what we call a top-up shop.
“We only do a really big food shop once every two months, maybe, maybe sometimes twice.
“So this is just going to be us shopping according to a meal plan and topping up on essentials.

She continued: “So we have come to M&S for this week’s shop and we're gonna see what kind of price we get.”
During the three-minute video, Georgia shared a glimpse at just some of the items she picked up, including fresh vegetables like broccoli and carrots, rice, raw chicken, and sausages, plus cheese, milk, and bread.
Sharing her reaction to the price of her food shop, Georgia continued: “So everything we got from M&S this week, the total was £53.65.
“I was a little bit nervous going into M&S, I'm not gonna lie, hoping that wasn't gonna cost too much but I think that everything that we got £53 is actually pretty decent.
“I wouldn't call that an affordable shop, however, I did think when putting everything in the trolley it was gonna be much more so I will take £53.
“We will give it another go next week just so that it's fair.”
Explaining how she thoughts prices compared to other supermarkets, she added: “I did try and pick up the cheapest version of every product that I put into the trolley so some things were priced slightly higher than other supermarkets.
“But I got the cheapest item that I possibly could, but overall I'm pretty happy with that.”
