Inside Ram's Odell Beckham Jr. & model girlfriend Lauren Wood's love story as the two expect their first child together

SUPER Bowl LVI marks Los Angeles Rams’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.’s first championship game of his NFL career – but it’s not his only impending first.

Odell is currently expecting his first child with model girlfriend Lauren Wood.

Here’s a look inside the couple’s private-yet-loved-up relationship.

ODELL AND LAUREN MAKE IT OFFICIAL

Although it’s not clear how Odell and fitness trainer and model Lauren met, fans noticed them leaving flirty comments on each other’s Instagram posts in 2019.

They later confirmed their romance on November 5 when Lauren posted a slideshow of photos with him in celebration of his 27th birthday.

“Happy birthday @obj ! Your soul is pure gold,” Lauren wrote in the caption of her photo.

“U know I can write lot about you, but I rather keep passing these love letters,” she continued, with an emoji winking with its tongue out.

She ended her caption by calling the one blurry photo of them included in the post “yumiii af.”

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

People think my baby’s name is a joke when I tell them – but I don’t care

Odell’s mother, Heather Van Norman, gave Lauren the seal approval just five days later when she shared photos of them smiling and posing together at a Cleveland Brown’s game, who Odell played with for three seasons.

ODELL PREFERS PRIVACY

Odell’s career has certainly made headlines.

In 2014, the same year he was drafted by the Giants, he made an impressive one-handed catch in the end zone for a touchdown that was called the “Catch of the Year” by the NFL.

Plus, he’s wowed audiences with his impressive stats year after year.

Per the NFL, he has “outperformed other wide receivers ranking at the top or in the top 5 in each major receiving category since entering the NFL in 2014.”

Of course, his switch from the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns and then to the Los Angeles Rams received quite a lot of chatter, too.

But despite his highly covered career, Odell wants to keep his private life private.

“You never hear about my personal life," he told GQ in 2019.

“You never hear about the woman I'm dating or anything like that. And you won't.

“I don't need to give you that.”

He continued: “You want to talk about my job, football? We can talk about that.

“But this is my personal life.

“There's two separate lines.

“So I always try to keep that."

Since making their relationship public, neither Odell nor Lauren have publicly commented on their relationship.

Their only exception seems to be Instagram, where they control the narrative.

Both Lauren and Odell’s feeds are peppered with sweet photos and heartwarming tributes to one another.

For instance, in celebration of Lauren’s birthday in 2021, Odell gushed over their love.

“Thru thick and thin everyday wit u has been a blessing,” he said.

“I kno that God has placed you in my life for a special reason, and excited about that adventure to find out why.

“My favorite thing about us is US and no one or anything in this world can come between that.”

ODELL FOUND OUT HIS REASON

It seems Odell found out why Lauren was placed in his life: To be the mother of their children.

The couple announced their pregnancy in November 2021.

“My gift won’t be wrapped under a tree this year but I can’t wait to meet You,” Odell wrote with a carousel of pregnancy photos.

They had a baby shower to prepare for their child's “big debut” in January, but they have refrained from sharing the due date.

Regardless, the two lovebirds have some very exciting life changes ahead of them and they seem simply smitten with each other and the life they’re building.
