They're the places you might expect to find a piercing.
But one woman took her quest to be unique to a whole new level, by having her EYELID pierced.
While Meredith Smith took to TikTok to share videos of her bike riding, it was her very unusual accessory that got people talking, and sparked a whole host of questions.
She explained her reasons for having the piercing in a story time, as she said: "I was 21 and wanted to do a body modification as a form of self-expression.
"And I hadn’t seen this on anybody else so it felt unique and like my own – that’s why I got it done.

"I think it’s the second least common piercing, or something like that.
"I approached it the way I think most people approach their tattoos – that I wanted something that felt like my own and unique to them, and that’s why I did it."
One of the most asked questions from viewers was whether or not it hurt when it was pierced.
To which Meredith replied: "It didn’t hurt when he pierced it because he had it clamped.

"But when he unclamped it and tried to push the jewellery through, that pinched quite a bit.
"It did stay swollen too for a while afterwards – for a couple of months."
She has a hinge ring in the eyelid, which she said is a "pain in the butt" to change, and it sits in the indent under her eyelid – so it doesn't actually rub against the eyeball.
Another person asked whether or not she can see the ring in her day to day life.

"I don’t see it when I try to look at it but sometimes when the sun shines on it just right I think there’s a bug flying past my face," she laughed.
She keeps it clean with face wash when she's washing her face, and even manages to wear contact lenses with it in.
