A MUM is raving about a 99p spray which managed to get lipstick marks out of her carpet without a trace.
Most parents can sympathise with kids getting hold of anything you leave lying around, and make-up often leaves some stubborn stains behind.
From treating expensive foundation as paint to using eyeliner as a crayon, children use anything as their canvas and materials.
And that was the horrifying sight which greeted one mum, after her kids found her red lipstick.
Despite admitting she didn't miss the lippie as it wasn’t her favourite shade, she was left with a giant crimson stain on her grey carpet.
But after desperately trying to get the smudge out of the carpet, she stumbled across an unlikely cleaner – grout and tile cleaner.
The 99p spray, intended to make bathrooms sparkle, left her carpet looking good as new.
She uploaded incredible before and after photos to Facebook group Cleaning Hacks, Tips and Recommendations.
Sharing an image of the spray, she captioned the post: “Best thing to get s**t lipstick out of carpet ? (done even wear the stuff ) don’t no why I have it.[sic]

Another wrote: “Can I ask where you got that stuff from?”
While this mum added: “Isn’t it funny how most of the posts asking for advice are child related in some way.”
Fellow parents also shared their own make-up related horror stories, with this mum saying: “My daughter coloured my mum’s brand new carpet blue with eye shadow she used vanish.”
Another said: “Omg don’t my daughter smeared glitter eyeshadow all over her walls
“Omg 3 and half hours it took me to scrub off f*****g glitter who events this s**t. [sic]”
