My client wanted me to replace her existing cover-up tattoo – people weren't expecting the results

YEARS after covering up a bad tattoo, one anonymous woman needed to replace her dated design – and the result was so incredible it even had tattoo-haters gawking.

Jessica Bank, a tattoo artist based in the UK, shared before, during, and after shots of her client's cover-up process.

The original cover-up, shared to TikTok, was a busy collection of flowers and leaves, along with some scripted text, that had badly faded.

The blue and dark green petals were patchy, while the orange and yellow flowers were almost completely faded into the skin.

Jessica shared an image of the new artwork stenciled over the old design.

The outline of the upgraded tattoo included delicate petals, intricate linework, and tiny details that promised an impressive result.

The final reveal left viewers amazed.

Instead of faded flowers and vines, the client's arm now sported a photorealistic pink rose, a lifelike butterfly, and a shimmering, heart-shaped jewel.

Along with the opulent facets, the blue gem was also surrounded by a row of glimmering pearls that seemed to shine in the light.

Small, minimalist leaves at either corner carried through the botanical elements of the old design while creating contrast for the new colors to pop.

"You should definitely do it," tattoo artist Bank responded.
