My 'lazy girl' fried chicken meal helped me lose 50 lbs – I love the taste and it needs hardly any prep | The Sun

A FOOD devotee has shared her recipe for the one fried meal that helped her lose 50 pounds.

Not only does the chicken taste good, but the prep work requires minimal effort.

Makayla (@makayla_thomas_fit) isn't one to gatekeep a delicious dish, especially not one that added to her weight loss journey.

In her video, she demonstrated the easy steps to cooking crispy chicken that benefitted her body.

The main ingredient: Tyson's air-fried less-fat chicken breast nuggets.

She popped five nuggets in the air fryer and cooked them for nine minutes at 300 degrees.

While the chicken was cooking, Makayla moved on to make the sauce.

The recipe called for one tablespoon of orange marmalade mixed with three tablespoons of barbecue or teriyaki sauce.

Makayla drizzled the tangy dressing over the nuggets and set them aside.

The innovative chef made 1/2 a cup of one-minute rice for the side.

She plated the chicken over the rice and finished the meal with a few pieces of roasted broccoli.

"Lazy girl orange chicken," Makayla proclaimed.

"I can help you eat food you love and meet your goals."

Makayla reiterated the fact that this dish requires little meal prep and motivation to make.

An excited fan commented: "Now this is my kind of lazy meal. When other people say 'lazy,' and they get out a cutting board, I block them."

"Ahh, yes. My level of cooking. Thank you," another appreciative woman agreed.

"Girl, can I tell you these meals changed my freaking life," one follower remarked.

An awed woman added: "Okay, this is inexpensive too. Looks amazing."
