Mystery over Meghan Markle's role at Invictus Games as 'she’s deleted from schedule' as Harry to appear in London today | The Sun

MYSTERY surrounds Meghan Markle's role at the upcoming Invictus Games after she was deleted from the media schedule.

Prince Harry is travelling to Dusseldorf to watch the entirety of the multi-sport event, which begins on September 9.

Harry will take to the stage in Germany at a grand opening ceremony on Saturday to kick off the eight-day event.

Meghan is due to join him shortly after the games get under way.

And an official guide to the games showed the Duchess of Sussex would "take to the stage" for the closing ceremony, according to MailOnline.

Meghan was reportedly due to host a segment about the competitors, but sources claim the information was included in error.

A passage, which is said to have since been deleted, allegedly said Meghan would "take to the stage to host the intimate and moving glimpse into the extraordinary journeys of the Invictus Games competitors".

There is no mention of her role in a separate listing on the website.

The "detailed schedule" also appears to indicate that presenter Hadnet Tesfai will now replace Meghan.

Harry founded the Invictus tournament as a Paralympic-style competition to help wounded and sick ex-military personnel.

The Duke of Sussex is set to return to the UK for the first time today since June to attend a charity awards ceremony.

Harry will celebrate the achievements and resilience of seriously-ill youngsters and their families who are supported by WellChild at the event in London.

His latest documentary, Heart Of Invictus, was launched last week as part of the Sussexes' multimillion-pound deal with Netflix – with their main output so far being last year's controversial Harry & Meghan documentary.

Heart Of Invictus follows a group of service members on their road to the Paralympic-style sporting competition which Harry set up in 2014 for injured and sick military personnel and veterans.

Harry and Meghan moved to the US in 2020 after stepping down from royal duties.

The Sun has contacted the Invictus Games for comment.
