THE most sauce-friendly way to open a ketchup packet has been revealed.
A TikToker has taken to the platform to share the 'correct' way to open a packet.
Known as her monkier Diane, or @_zealouslymom on TikTok, the mom shared a video that makes pre-portioned ketchup seem even more convenient than some users initially thought.
"You were today years old when you learned," the video begins, with stunned mom covering her mouth from the shock of the discovery.
"The only way to open ketchup packets," TikTok's infamous robot voice continued as she grabs hold of the sauce packet.
Diane opened the entire side of the ketchup packet large enough for dippable foods to fit inside.
She easily dips an entire french fry into the packet instead of opting for the commonly-done approach of squeezing the contents of the packet onto a plate or a food item.
One comment was confused by the switch of approach, suggesting they had been hip to the efficient method all along.
This astute TikToker asked: "Wait is that not how everyone else opens them?"
Another comment suggested the method was not quite as efficient as it was made out to be, saying "More hassle (than) it's worth."

Confused by the assertion, and still in support of this simplified method of sauce enjoyment, Diane replied, "Hassle?"
In a previous blind test, Erin Robinson, who runs a lifestyle and food YouTube channel, tried 29 different kinds of ketchup to see which one would reign supreme.
Using a few fries at a time, Erin's taste test included eight flavors from Heinz and three from Hunt's.
In addition, the taste test featured ketchup from fast food joints Whataburger and McDonald's, as well as Target and Kroger's store brands.
To get the full Whataburger experience, Erin tested the Texas-based chain's spicy and fancy ketchup variations.
She also sampled nearly a dozen kinds of ketchup from smaller brands, and a lesser-known manufacturer ended up as her favorite.
Because she heard rumors that McDonald's repackaged Hunt's ketchup as its own, she was skeptical of the chain's offering.
However, after blindly comparing Hunt's to McDonald's, not only did Erin notice a difference, she preferred the McDonald's packet.
McDonald's was not her top choice among fast food ketchup though, as she was pleasantly surprised by how good Whataburger's spicy flavor was.
After trying all 29 ketchup variations she purchased, Erin's top 10 were:
- Portland Ketchup Company
- TruffleHunter Black Truffle Ketchup
- Whataburger Spicy Ketchup
- Heinz Original
- McDonald's
- Hunt's Original
- Kroger store brand ketchup
- Good & Gather Organic (Target store brand)
- True Made Food Veggie Ketchup
- Sir Kensington's
