PRINCE Harry was concerned wedding guests may be able to see up his grandmother, the Queen’s skirt at Peter Phillips’ wedding, a royal author has revealed.
The Sun’s former royal editor Duncan Larcombe revealed the young Duke of Sussex’s concerns over his cousin’s plans for a mirrored dance floor at his nuptials.
Writing in his book Prince Harry: The Inside Story, Larcombe revealed the conversation he had with Harry shortly after the wedding.
According to the Express, he wrote: “He (Harry) said: ‘Someone had the bright idea to have a mirrored dance floor at the reception, can you imagine how crazy that was?’
“After thinking through what he was saying, the penny finally dropped.
“Anyone dancing at his cousin’s wedding would be reflected by the dance floor.
Referring to his girlfriend at the time, Chelsy Davy, he added: “I laughed and asked Harry: ‘Oh dear, I bet you were worried about Chelsy dancing and everyone being able to see up her skirt?’
“He quickly replied: ‘Never mind Chelsy, it was my grandmother I was worried about’.”
Princess Anne’s eldest child Peter married Autumn Kelly at St George’s Chapel in Windsor back in May 2008.
Among the 300 guests were the Queen and Prince Philip as well as around 70 members of Autumn’s family from her native Canada.
Zara Tindall, then Phillips, was a bridesmaid at the occasion, who was dressed in green Vera Wang like the remainder of the bridal party.
Harry had his former flame Chelsy as his date, while Prince William attended with his then girlfriend, now wife, Kate Middleton.
