PRINCE Harry has effectively declared war on the Royal Family with a threat to sue unless Britain provides his security.
The Duke of Sussex infamously fled the UK alongside Meghan Markle and his son Archie in 2020, abandoning his royal duties and vowing to live financially independently, no longer taking taxpayer money.
As a result he lost his taxpayer-funded security and had to pay for a private security company to look after his family – something he's clearly unhappy about.
The Duke has now threatened to sue the Home Office in order to get British government to provide security when he visits the UK, saying he feels effectively in exile because his private security is not enough for a visit to Britain.
Prince Harry offered to cover the cost of Britain providing his private security but the offer was rejected, something he is now appealing, the Mirror reported.

Expert urges Met to probe Prince Andrew
A ROYAL protection expert urged the Met to probe the Prince Andrew sex assault claims.
Dai Davies blasted the force for refusing to investigate.
He said: “I’d like to know who made this decision and why.
“Did it go to the Met Commissioner, or even the Home Secretary?”
He urged a rethink after a US judge ruled a civil case can go ahead.
Dai, ex-head of Royal Protection for the Queen, added: “An investigation will give him the chance to clear his name.”
Dai was a Scotland Yard Chief Superintendent.

Two new witnesses
The Sun on Sunday can also reveal two new witnesses who could place Andrew and Virginia together in New York and the Caribbean.
One is said to be a woman “in Jeffrey Epstein’s orbit” who saw Andrew and Virginia at the billionaire paedophile’s New York mansion.
The other allegedly saw the royal and Giuffre together in New York and the Caribbean.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “These are two witnesses who have emerged since Virginia filed her lawsuit against Andrew last summer.
“Virginia’s lawyers know just how key their testimony could be.”
Virginia’s attorney, David Boies, said last month that he had up to six witnesses who could give evidence placing her with Andrew.

Claims against Andrew
Ms Giuffre claims she was enticed by the Duke of York's pal Maxwell and lured into paedo Epstein's sick sexual pyramid scheme.
She alleges she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions – in London, New York and on Epstein's island Little St James.
According to a source, Ms Giuffre has vowed to “destroy him” and leave him broke.
Meanwhile, an ex-royal cop has revealed he suspected that Andrew and Maxwell were lovers — because she came and went from Buckingham Palace “at will”.
Former bodyguard Paul Page claims in an ITV programme — Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile — that the shamed ex-socialite visited up to four times in one day.

"You don’t misremember sex abuse by a prince"
In a civil suit, Ms Giuffre alleges she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York, 61, three times when she was 17.
Andrew's lawyers have accused Ms Giuffre, now 38, of recruiting girls for paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and "suffering from false memories" over her alleged encounters with the royal.
Court documents show his lawyers also want to examine Dr Lightfoot's medical notes from her sessions with Ms Giuffre.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre's lawyer has blasted Prince Andrew's "false memories" claim by saying "you don't misremember sex abuse by a prince".

Ex-Met chief says he’s ‘creating scenarios that don’t exist’
It is understood that government officials refused Prince Harry's demands fearing it would open the door to any wealthy individual to use The Met’s crack team as their private police force.
Harry considers himself a security risk for life because he is sixth in line to the throne, and a target from extremist threats because of his two tours of combat in Afghanistan.
Now the former head of Scotland Yard’s royal protection unit says Harry is “creating scenarios that don't exist” in regards to his safety.
Dai Davies told the Mirror: “A lot of these issues appear to be greatly inflamed by Harry and his advisors, it really doesn’t need to be so fraught.
"If ever there was a proper credible threat to Prince Harry or his family then the Met would take the appropriate action.
“If he or his family were to return to Britain in an official capacity or to support the Queen during the Platinum Jubilee events I’m sure he would be afforded the necessary protection.
“I would argue robustly against his case that he is not safe in the UK. If ever the British intelligence services did discover a threat to him and his family they are hardly going to sit on it. It appears that Harry is creating scenarios that do not exist.”

Harry considers himself as a security risk
Harry considers himself a security risk for life because he is sixth in line to the throne, and a target from extremist threats because of his two tours of combat in Afghanistan.
It is estimated 24-hour police security for Harry’s family would cost him £80,000 a week.
He officially quit royal duty in April 2020. In the US, he, Meghan and children Archie, two, and seven-month-old Lilibet are protected by £7,000-a-day security guards.

Queen will NOT help Prince Harry (Continued…)
Last night there were fears that Harry, 37, might take the Government to court as neither side showed signs of giving way.
But the Queen will not be helping her grandson’s fight — thought to be the first legal action of its kind.
A royal source said: “This is not a matter for Her Majesty. She certainly won’t cave in to his demands.
“It is a matter for Her Majesty’s government. Who gets protection is not a gift the Queen can decide to give or take away.”
Another said: “His demands for security in the UK have not been openly or widely discussed within the family because it was thought sorted two years ago.
“Quite frankly, with the Queen’s health concerns and Prince Andrew facing a sex-abuse trial, a battle between her grandson and the Government is the last thing she wants to get drawn into.”

Queen will NOT help Prince Harry
Prince Harry plans to sue the Government to give him back the protection he lost after quitting royal duties.
But a royal source said: “Her Majesty certainly won’t cave in to his demands.”
And Sun columnist Piers Morgan called him a “shameless, deluded, woefully-entitled hypocrite.”
Harry has been told the Met Police are not “guns for hire” and cannot be treated as a private force for the rich and famous.
It came as he threatened to sue the Government after the Home Office rejected his demands to use their officers.
He is seeking round-the-clock police protection — normally reserved for royals and government officials — when he and his US-based family visit the UK.
But Harry lost the privilege two years ago when he told Her Majesty that he was quitting royal duty to live in California with wife Meghan.

Prince Andrew 'in turmoil'
Sources close to Andrew claim he is “feeling like his insides have been ripped out” after the Queen stripped him of titles, patronages and the use of HRH status on Thursday after she was pressed by Charles and William.
A close friend of the Duke said: “He is in turmoil. Up until now, on advice of his lawyers, he didn’t think it would go this far.
“But he has now finally realised how bad the situation is and feels he has let the Queen down.
“He desperately wants to make amends, although he accepts that it will take a long time. He is relying on the love and support of his family to get through this.”

Piers Morgan blasts Harry for ‘brazen double standards’
PIERS Morgan blasted Prince Harry's "brazen double standards" over the Royal's police protection row and its "appalling" timing for the Queen.
Piers criticised the couple for "popping their heads up again" as the Queen grapples with the loss of her husband Prince Phillip and Prince Andrew's legal woes.
Sun columnist Piers said he didn't understand why Harry thought he was entitled to protection from British cops after moving stateside post Megxit.
He told presenter Sophie Rawrth: "It's absolutely chillingly inevitable these two would pop their heads up again right when the Queen least wants them to.
"I feel so sorry for the Queen. It's her Platinum Jubilee coming," he said. "The timing of it so appalling."
She's lost her husband, she's got this awful situation with Andrew, and now her grandson who has been baiting the Royal Family and the monarchy all year has now popped up from his mansion in California to say that when he comes back to the UK he wants to have the British police protect him.
"Sorry mate, that's now how this works… I don't give a damn if he's paying for it or not.
"Why should the British police protect him? He's now a private citizen. He doesn't do any royal duties," Piers added.

Ex-royal cop thought 'Ghislaine & Andrew were lovers'
AN ex-royal cop has revealed he suspected that Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell were lovers — because she came and went from Buckingham Palace “at will”.
Former bodyguard Paul Page claims in an ITV programme — Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile — that the shamed ex-socialite visited up to four times in one day.
Page, who was jailed for fraud in 2009, has previously claimed Prince Andrew’s female friends, including Ghislaine, rarely signed in.
Page told ITV’s Ranvir Singh: “From the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace at will, we suspected that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew.”
He went on: “She kept coming in and out, in and out.”

More Royal news you may have missed
- Andrew reportedly fears being left broke by the case.
- It's reported the Queen was previously paying his legal bills, already more than £2million. He could also pay accuser Virginia Giuffre £10m if he settles the case.
- The monarch came to her decision after a summit with William and Charles, during which both future kings said Andrew's position is "grave" – and that he must withdraw from the family.
- Andrew will no longer be able to use 'HRH', although he is likely to continue holding his dukedom as an Act of Parliament is needed to relinquish him of that title.
Andrew ‘WON’T lose £300k-a-year security detail’
PRINCE Andrew won't lose his £300,000-a-year security detail after he was stripped of his titles – as Harry launches a bid to sue the Government for police protection.
News that he will reportedly retain the bodyguards comes as he prepares to fight a civil sex abuse case after learning this week it will be going ahead, despite a battle by his lawyers to have it thrown out.
However, the Duke of York is facing calls to pay for his own security after the Queen released a statement revealing he has been effectively banished from the Royal Family.

Explained: Will the Queen turn off Andrew's money tap?
It has been assumed that the Queen is advancing Andrew’s legal bills from her income from the Duchy of Lancaster, Cawthorne says.
Set up the 14th century, the income from the duchy is given to the sovereign to conduct their official duties.
However, the biographer claims the Queen faces pressure from inside the family to turn off the money tap.
"It is hard to see how defending her son in a sex case in a foreign court is one of Her Majesty’s official duties," says Cawthorne.
"Prince Charles and Prince William are understood to be furious and think that Andrew should sort out his own mess."
Should the royals distance themselves from financing Andrew altogether, Cawthorne says his 'cratering' bank balance could be pushed to the brink.
“The towering amounts involved raise the question whether the prince may go bankrupt without handouts from the Civil List or Privy Purse to prop up his teetering finances," he adds.
"If the royal family won’t help, he can always call a friend. Perhaps someone in Kazakhstan?”

Andrew would ‘scream’ if maids messed up his teddy bear's
Former royal cop Paul Page tells presenter Ranvir Singh about the Duke’s toys on Ghislaine and Prince Andrew.
Page — in the Royal Protection Command from 1998 to 2004 — used to have access to Prince Andrew’s private apartment, where he claims he had a bed piled high with toys.
He said: “It had about 50 or 60 stuffed toys positioned on the bed and basically there was a card the inspector showed us in a drawer and it was a picture of these bears all in situ.
“The reason for the laminated picture was if those bears weren’t put back in the right order by the maids, he would shout and scream.”
Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile is on ITV on Tuesday at 9pm.

Harry insists UK is still his ‘home’ after Megxit
PRINCE Harry insists the UK is still his home – two years after ditching Blighty for the sunny Los Angeles hills.
Harry's legal representative claims the Sussexes would love to visit the Royal Family in the UK – which the prince still very much deems "home" – but they are "unable to return" because it is too dangerous after they were stripped of round-the-clock police protection.
"The UK will always be Prince Harry's home and a country he wants his wife and children to be safe in," they said.
"But with the lack of police protection, comes too great a personal risk."
They continued: "Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for life.
"He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats.
"While his role within the institution has changed, his profile as a member of the royal family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed whilst in the UK.
"In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home."

‘No-fly zone’ to be put in over Windsor
Aircraft and drones will be banned from January 27 from passing within a 2,500ft altitude over the residence.
The order will also make it an offence to fly inside 1.4 miles of the castle walls.
Moves to increase security come after an intruder with a crossbow got into the grounds, right, after a “kill the Queen” video was posted online on Christmas Day.
The 95-year-old monarch has spent almost all of the past two years living in her private apartments there due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The Civil Aviation Authority says it is in the public interest to impose the ban.

Kate 'holds the Windsors’ future in her hands'
A former chief of staff to the Firm has stated that Kate Middleton holds the future of the Royal Family in her hands.
According to Patrick Jephson, the former chief of staff to Princess Diana, Kate is essential for the Firm amid a troubling time for the Queen.
Patrick told the New York Post: "As the Prince Andrew scandal shows, the monarchy is in desperate need of reassuringly conventional royal performers.
“Catherine is just what these troubled royal times need — it’s no exaggeration that the Windsors’ future lies in her hands.”

'The Queen was right to get rid of Andrew'
This is a comment piece by Karren Brady.
Instead of celebrating the incredible milestone of becoming the first British monarch to mark 70 years on the throne, she is facing another annus horribilis.
The allegations against the Duke of York could not have come at a worse time as we navigate an ocean of woke views, still rocking in the wake of the Me Too movement.
Prince Andrew’s friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and child trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, along with claims that he slept with 17-year-old Virginia Roberts — now known by her married name Giuffre — could prove a fatal anchor that drags the monarchy into the cold depths.
And that is why the Queen has had to cut him loose.

Andrew was set to lose protection officers in 2020
Andrew was set to lose all three protection officers in June 2020 following a Home Office cost-cutting review – but clung onto them after the Queen intervened.
His minders are each thought to cost £100,000 a year in wages, flights, perks and hotels.
Her Majesty's youngest son Edward and his wife Sophie were also set to lose their protection. However, a source said Andrew was the most "persuasive" as he lobbied his mother.
