TV reporter makes awkward outfit blunder at glitzy ball – but styles it out like a pro – The Sun

A TV PRESENTER has been teased by her colleagues for suffering an awkward outfit blunder at a glamorous ball.

Fiona Willan, an Australian political reporter, dressed to the nines for the Federal Parliament's Midwinter Ball in Canberra earlier this week – but managed to put her stunning gown on wrong.

The Channel 9 journalist put her white floor-length number by designer Toni Maticevski on in a bit of a hurry.

In coverage from the event, she looked stunning in what she seemed to think was a one-sleeved design.

However, on closer inspection, the material hanging down at her side was actually the second sleeve.

She revealed the unfortunate wardrobe malfunction on Twitter.

In a post, Fiona wrote: "This is the bit where I need to confess that I forgot to put my arm through my sleeve! (With apologies to Toni Maticevski)."

She realised her mistake part way through the evening and eventually got her second arm through.

The following morning her Nine News colleagues joked about the fashion mishap and asked her about what had happened.

She explained: "I got distracted while I was getting dressed and I didn't put the sleeve on.

"But I didn't notice until halfway through the night."

Looking on the bright side, she noted that the dress was "so versatile".

Sharing a funny video of the light-hearted interrogation on Twitter, she wrote: "A well-deserved stitch-up from my dear Sydney workmates."

Responding to the post, one person reassured her: "You rocked it and no one even knew."

Another commented: "I think I prefer the way you wore it."
