VANESSA Feltz stunned fans as she showed off her incredible three and a half stone weight loss at the Paddington premiere this weekend.
The BBC star, 57, looked remarkably trimmer as she stepped out in a slinky size ten outfit for the star-studded bash.
However, many of Vanessa's fans, desperate to follow in her footsteps, were left asking exactly how the radio presenter managed to trim down.
Here, we talk you through the main ways Vanessa has managed to shed the pounds – and keep it off…
1. Gastric bypass
Vanessa had a gastric band fitted back in 2010 after years of struggling with yo-yo dieting.
However, last year Vanessa had the slimming aid removed after suffering from gastroesophageal reflux which made her wake up feeling as if she was "drowning".
She said: "It turned out that it had slipped and I was having this horrible symptom, my whole throat eyes nose ears seem to feel full of liquid it was all quite horrible and quite unexpected."
Vanessa went on to have a gastric bypass at the same time – where surgical staples create a small pouch at the top of the stomach, which is connected to the small intestine, thus bypassing the rest of the stomach meaning you eat less.
2. Cutting down calories
Following her gastric bypass, Vanessa admitted that she now has a smaller appetite – meaning her calorie intake is significantly lower than it was before.
Speaking on This Morning, she said: "I’m generally a bit less interested in eating food."
When it comes to losing weight, you need to be in calorie deficit – meaning you eat less than you burn.
I’m generally a bit less interested in eating food
According to experts, a pound of fat is accumulated when you eat 3,500 calories more than you burn.
So, if you eat 3,500 calories a week less than you burn—all else being equal—you’ll lose around a pound. If you manage a deficit of 7,000 calories, you’ll lose two.
The NHS says that one to two pounds in a week is a safe amount to lose if you’re doing it gradually and steadily.
3. Ditching alcohol
Vanessa previously revealed that she "barely" drinks alcohol – which will help maximise her weight loss.
This is because booze has a sneaky way of increasing your daily calorie intake without you realising it.
One pint of beer contains an average of 208 calories while a glass of wine may contain 83 calories.
On top of this many people find themselves reaching for a pizza or a kebab after a night of heavy drinking – which will make your calorie intake go up even more.
Cutting out alcohol will therefore mean you're consuming less unhealthy food and drink which in turn means weight loss.
4. Sex
Vanessa previously told The Sun that "spectacular athletic sex" had helped her to keep the weight off.
She said: "This idea that at some point you totally go off the sexual boil, well it certainly hasn’t happened to me yet."
In particular, top fitness experts have confirmed that there is a link between sex and weight loss – saying regular bonking can help you shed the pounds.
Harry Thomas, owner of No1 Fitness and life coach, said: "Vanessa mentioned her sex life played a big part in her weight loss.
"I don’t doubt that at all. Sex, especially good sex burns calories.
"If you increase your activity throughout the day this will help shed some more pounds."
