AFTER the sad news broke that Wilko has gone into administration, savvy shoppers started hitting their local stores to see if they could nab a bargain.
And those who were successful have been taking to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains group on Facebook in their droves, to boast about their reduced purchases.
Many of the bargains appear to have been found in the gardening aisles.
One person shared a picture of their table covered in packets of garden seeds, writing: "Thanks Wilkos, that’s the allotment sorted!"
The table had at least 40 packets on it, with some arranged into piles.
As ever, there were some criticising the poster for nabbing so much, but others congratulated them on their haul.

"Well done – my local Wilkos barely have any left," one wrote.
While another shared a snap of their mini haul, writing: "Seeds from 15p in mine.
"Chelsea flower show in my garden next year!"
Someone else posted a picture of their "seeds from the future", noting their expiry date, while revealing they'd also picked up onion seeds for 25p for the packet.

"75 per cent off at the fort Birmingham by me!" another boasted.
And while many people assumed it was the administration news that meant Wilko were selling things off, others insisted it's the same every year.
"They always have a seed sale on this time of year," one wrote.
"They reduce by 25%, then 50%, at the moment ours is down to 70% off then they end up dropping the rest to 5p a Packet when they are down to a basket full.
"Same every year. They will be missed if don't get a buyer."
"Happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR. End of season clear out of seeds," another added.
With a third commenting: "Seeds are also 75% off in Tesco, Unwins.
"It's just end of season selling them off.
And others shared their own methods for making the Wilko shop less stressful.
"Fyi… u can order seeds online & pick up in ur local store xx u can see what's available then," one wrote.
