World’s first cheese conveyor belt restaurant opens in the UK – and it has 25 variations – The Sun

CALLING all cheese lovers! The world's first ever conveyor belt restaurant devoted to our favourite dairy product has opened in the UK – and it boasts 25 different kinds of cheese.

Situated in London's Covent Garden, Pick & Cheese has it's very own Cheese Bar where customers can pick and choose what kind they'd like to try as it whizzes past you on a conveyor belt.

And if you don't get your tie stuck in the conveyor belt while you're drooling over the options like Jonny English… well you're just doing it wrong.

What started off as a small passion project operating out of a van in a South East London market turned into a flourishing business when the founder Matthew Carver started driving it round UK food festivals – including Glastonbury.

After two years on the road, Matthew had crowdfunded enough to set up his own restaurant in Camden which he named The Cheese Bar.

But following on from this, the brand decided to set up the world's first conveyor belt restaurant to "encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and try something new".

And considering how there are over 25 different kinds of cheese on offer – including slabs of Stilton and Jalapeno poppers full of mozzarella – we're going to go ahead and say there's something for everyone here.

Customers can either sit on stools at the bar to take full advantage of the conveyor belt set up or book to eat in a booth where waiting staff will serve you.

Naturally, the prices vary depending on the cheese – but the brand's website promises to "keep our food affordable and accessible".

We know how we'll be spending our weekends…

For more delicious treats, M&S has launched a Halloween-inspired Colin the Caterpillar cake – and it costs just £7.

And porridge lattes are the new good fad which means you get your coffee and breakfast hit all in one.

Plus you can now get paid £5,000 to eat nothing but chips and pizza for a month.
