You’ve been cleaning your oven all wrong – there’s a simple way to remove the door so you don’t miss a single spot

IT TURNS out that your oven deep clean can get even cleaner.

An expert shared a step-by-step video about how to remove the oven door so you don’t miss a single spot.

First, the cleaning expert, who goes by @cleaningwithlucy.x online, laid down a towel on the ground below her built-in oven in case any baked bits or debris fell out of it.

Next, she opened the door and showed that the hinges attaching the door to the rest of the oven have levers.

“Pull the levers toward you,” Lucy said.

“Be careful – do not let them go back when the door is off,” she warned.

She then advised people to close the door until they feel a weight, and then lift and pull.

With these steps, the door should come right off.

Finally, once she gently laid the door on the towel on the ground, she removed the panels that held the glass in place for “easy cleaning.”

In the caption of her video, Lucy warned people to always look at the owner's manual of their ovens, as each one is different.

She repeated this tip in response to many concerned viewers, in addition to reminding them to not touch the hinges once the door has been removed.

One viewer admitted they made that mistake and it completely “destroyed” their oven.

Another said they cut themselves on the hinges, and Lucy once again begged people to never touch the hinges or levers once the oven door is taken off.
