Food recalls are issued when a product is unsafe for customers to use. For example, if an item contains an ingredient not mentioned on the label, it could cause harm to someone with allergies. Here is the full list of the latest supermarket food recalls.
Aldi
The German discounter has urgently recalled a savoury treat sold at its stores.
The Crestwood 2 Puff Pastry Cheese and Onion Slices are unsafe to eat because they contain barley (gluten) and mustard not mentioned on the label.
This is due to a packaging error.
The packs are 300g in size and have a use by date of August 16, 2021.
Aldi is encouraging customers to return the product to their nearest branch.
The supermarket said: “Our supplier is recalling this product due to the presence of mustard and barley which are not declared on the label.
“Customers with a mustard or barley allergy are advised not to eat this product.
“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.”

Some batches of the product may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label.
A packaging error meant some Sea Salt bags had been filled with Sour Cream and Onion flavour Popchips.
The warning has been given by manufacturer KP Snacks.
A statement from KP Snacks said: “We have identified that a small number of our popchips 85g Salted sharing bags may contain Sour Cream & Onion flavoured popchips that contain milk, which is not listed on the Salted bag label.
“As this poses a possible health risk to those with an allergy to milk or milk constituents, we are looking to recall bags.”
The product is also sold in Asda and Waitrose.
Customers should return the product to store for a full refund.

“A full refund will be given and no receipt is required,” the company added.
These glass bottles are sold in Sainsbury’s, as well as online on Amazon and Ocado.
