In recent weeks and months, various supermarkets have recalled food items. Consumers have been warned not to eat them and instead, return them to store.
Lidl
Starovice Czech Lager 5 percent
Pack size: 500ml
Best before: October 16, 2022
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) stated: “This product contains sulphur dioxide, making it a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.
“If you have bought the above product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites, do not drink it.”
Customers who return the product will receive a full refund.
Iceland
Greggs frozen 2 pack Chicken Bake
Pack size: 306g
Best before: September 19, 2022
The FSA warned: “The presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.”
Alesto Californian Pistachios Roasted & Salted
Pack size: 200g
Batch code: LP200N22004

The FSA told consumers: “Lidl GB is recalling Alesto Californian Pistachios Roasted & Salted because salmonella has been found in the product.”

The FSA told customers: “This product may contain small pieces of plastic which makes it unsafe to eat.”
Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco have also recalled the Baxter’s Food Group Ltd product.

Tesco has recalled numerous Ferrero Kinder products due to the possible presence of salmonella.

Iceland Takeaway Chicken Bhuna (Frozen)

The FSA warned: “Iceland is recalling Iceland Takeaway Chicken Bhuna (Frozen) because it contains milk which is not declared on the label.
“As a result of a packaging error, some packs may contain Iceland Takeaway Creamy Butter Chicken.
“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”
