Kate’s ‘super drink’ recipe she may have every morning for natural glow

It is reported that Kate, Princess of Wales has a green smoothie packed with vitamins and nutrients every morning with her breakfast. Her favourite healthy drink is believed to have kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine and blueberries. Former royal nutritionist Jennifer Hanway talked about the benefits of the green smoothie saying that it can help “achieve better skin”.

The nutritionist explained: “You can spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds on skin treatments, products and facials, but if you’re not feeding yourself right, you’re never going to be able to harbour the benefits, because we are literally what we eat.

“Think of your diet as the building blocks of your body. It’s definitely possible to achieve better skin from the inside out on a cellular level with diet.”

She continued: “Kate [reportedly] has a ton of antioxidants in there, a ton of vitamins and minerals, and a ton of fibre – which make for a powerhouse of overall health.

“Everything from the kale to the leafy greens is a really great source of nutrients. This smoothie is absolutely packed full of antioxidants that fight free-radical damage, which are the environmental toxins that steal our natural glow.”

Nutrition experts at BarBend shared what Kate may eat for breakfast, including oatmeal and her antioxidant-filled smoothie.

The royal may enjoy the drink first thing in the morning “mixing kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine and blueberries together in a delicious mix, helping her maintain a natural glow and healthy skin,” they explained.

Experts from Ocado exclusively shared a green smoothie recipe with pear, ginger and avocado which can help women achieve that natural glow and stay in good shape. Healthy smoothies can minimise the need to snack between meals by making women feel fuller for longer.

“Nutritious and tasty – you just pop everything in the smoothie blender and whizz, and you can even have it on the go. Don’t you just love a super-smoothie?” they commented.

Green smoothie with pear, ginger and avocado

Ingredients

  • 200ml coconut water
  • Half avocado, peeled
  • One ripe pear, seeded and chopped
  • One tbsp lemon, freshly squeezed juice
  • One handful spinach
  • One cm ginger root, chopped
  • Two fresh coriander, optional

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: Five minutes

Serves: One

Method

Pop everything in the smoothie blender and whizz.

For breakfast, Kate reportedly loves oats, “which keep her filled up and with enough fuel to attend royal events, exercise and run after her three children”.

Oats, which are the “healthiest grains on earth”, are rich in fibre and antioxidants plus they are “very filling and may help you lose weight,” the health site added.
