It’s been a long wait for some McDonald’s fans as they patiently anticipated the return of the chain’s famous breakfast menu. Like many other fast food restaurants, McDonald’s had to close due to fears of the coronavirus spreading during the lockdown, and has slowly been reopening. Today marked the return of its breakfasts – but they’re not available from every store.

- McDonald’s is bringing back its breakfast menu in 42 branches
McDonald’s has been slowly reopening its stores around the country with new measures in place to keep everyone safe.
Starting by opening its drive-thru locations, the burger giant has now reopened many of its branches for takeaway and collection.
However, the chain is still not opening for dine-in customers – though you can now walk in and pick up your orders in store.
But McDonald’s has been offering a limited menu in order to stick to social distancing, which meant no breakfasts for its initial reopening phase.
However, it was good news today as the breakfasts returned in its latest move to getting back to normal.
McDonald’s shared the news on its social media pages, with a video narrated by ex-footballer Chris Kamara.
“Sound-on to hear @Chris_Kammy give a mouth-watering line up of returning McDonald’s menu heroes. You can get breakfast items and milkshakes from today,” the chain wrote.
Fans have been able to order some of their favourites from the new reduced menu.

The new limited menu includes hash browns, sausage and egg McMuffins, bacon rolls and pancakes.
Bagels, porridge and wraps are still off the menu as the chain offers a reduced service, including shorter opening times.
The move follows a trial at 42 of its restaurants – with now more than 1,250 of its branches reinstating the popular menu.
However, some fans will be disappointed as not every reopened location is offering the breakfasts from today.
