Is there anything better than pie?
Whether you prefer meaty types or veggie options, there’s something so comforting about the humble pie – especially when it’s served with creamy mash and rich gravy.
Next week marks British Pie Week and, to get in the spirit of things, the team at Pieminister are delivering kits so you can enjoy the full works at home.
The brand’s Pie Week Mothership kits cost £25 or £36 – depending on whether you’re buying for two or four people – and are all made with sustainably sourced ingredients.
There’s something for everyone, too, with 12 different types to choose from.
Meat lovers can pick from classic steak and ale, steak and stilton, three different chicken pie varieties or steak and kidney – while veggies can opt for goats cheese and sweet potato or wild mushroom pies.
There are also three vegan options, with tofu, mushroom and quinoa, jackfruit and spinach and kale pies available.
Each kit comes with the pies of your choice, portions of mash, mushy peas, crispy onions and cheese (with a vegan option) to go on top, gravy, instructions and a sweet pie recipe.
If you order before February 28, your goodies will arrive before March 4, and if you order before March 7 your kit will come four days later. And the good news is that delivery is available nationwide.
There’s also no hurry to use them, as the kits have a shelf life of up to seven days – but they will need to be refrigerated.
The brand really is going all out too – it’s offering one lucky person the chance to win a year’s supply of pies. Customers just need to look for a golden ticket in their order, which will be randomly added to one kit between 15 February and 7 March.
Happy feasting.
