Pimm’s is often enjoyed with lemonade and fresh fruit, but there’s an even better way to drink it to honour King Charles III’s Coronation. The gin-based spirit is a key ingredient in the quintessentially British recipe, and can even be purchased in limited edition bottles to mark the royal occasion.

Method
This quick recipe makes enough for one glass and can be made by mixing everything together at once.
Pour all of the ingredients into a wine glass, leaving out the soda water.
Using a spoon, stir vigorously to combine the fruity flavours. Then, fill with ice and top with soda water.
Garnish with one strawberry, peach slices and basil leaves for added colour.
Perfect Pimm’s jug
For a traditional jug of this alcoholic drink, combine ordinary Pimm’s with a mixture of ice, lemonade and a selection of fruits. This is best done using the following ratio:
- 200ml Pimm’s No.1
- 600ml lemonade
- A handful of mint sprigs, sliced cucumber, sliced orange and strawberries
The best flavour comes from layering the drink. To achieve this, start by filling the jug with ice and pouring over the Pimms, followed by the lemonade.
Stir it well before adding the mint, cucumber, oranges and strawberries. Pour into chilled glasses and enjoy.
