Yes, that’s right – a toasted Creme Egg sandwich is coming to select Subway branches, just in time for the Easter weekend.
We bet you didn’t have that on your 2023 bingo card.
The Creme Egg has legions of fans, and now, there’s a new way to eat the cult treat.
Subway and Cadbury have teamed up to drop a limited-edition sandwich the likes of which we can safely say we haven’t seen before.
For those with the sweetest of teeth, the SubMelt is made simply with warm gooey chocolate eggs and fondant on the inside and toasted bread on the outside.
Rusty Warren, Senior NPD and Product Innovation Manager at Subway, said: ‘We’re delighted to have collaborated with Cadbury this Easter. Our Italian White Bread and Cadbury Creme Eggs make the most flavoursome combination – a perfect seasonal treat.
‘All the team at Subway are especially excited to see how those Subway fans with a sweet tooth respond to this delicious SubMelt.’
A limited number of these unique six-inch sandwiches will be available from a limited number of Subway branches for free on Friday 7 April – so you’ll have to move fast if you want to try one.
The following restaurants are the ones that will have some in stock:
- London, Subway, 109 Tottenham Court Road, W1T 5AD
- Liverpool, Subway, Unit 3, Ranelagh Street, Central Shopping Centre, L1 1QT
