Breakfast is the most important meal of the day – but it’s also one of the most exciting when it comes to versatility.
Whether you go continental, full-English or have eggs in various ways, there’s always something to keep you on your toes.
For those who love to start the day with some good grub, the world’s best hotel breakfasts have been revealed – and a UK venue has been crowned as the champion.
The Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London hotel has been named as the winner in the rankings, offering the best breakfast options around.
Guests can choose from continental options, like pastries and cereals, to cooked favourites such as eggs, bacon, sausages, and hash browns.
Alternatively, they can also opt for an a la carte menu with dishes such as Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, omelettes, pancakes and waffles.
The rankings, put together by Mornings.co.uk, compared hotels in capital cities – and analysed which spots had the largest number of positive Tripadvisor reviews where breakfasts were deemed to be either the ‘best’, ‘excellent’, or ‘great.’
But Park Plaza wasn’t the only UK hotel to impress in the global rankings.
The Premier Inn London County Hall Hotel came in sixth place, with its all-you-can-eat cooked breakfast for just £9.50.
While the Tower Hotel in London placed eighth, with guests praising the buffet style and quality of food.
Hotels in Italy, Malaysia, Thailand, Hungary and The Bahamas placed elsewhere in the top 10 – but the UK had the most spots overall in the rankings.
