Plants are a great way to create privacy and screening and can even draw the eye towards a specific feature in the garden. They can also be used to cover up something potentially unsightly like broken fence panels and tired-looking sheds. Choosing the right plants is key to ensuring they look good and establish well in the garden.

When looking at potential screening plants, soil type is key.

Clay, sandy or chalky soil won’t be suitable for certain shrubs so it’s always best to check your soil first.

Laurel trees have had 6,600 monthly average searches each month while 27,000 people on average search for “home security” on a monthly basis, according to Eden’s Gate, a premium CBD oil, health and wellness store.
